I went to the southside Target, Best Buy, and Toys R Us... none of them had them. If anyone manages to find one today, please respond to this thread so I can burst out the door and try to make it to the said store before they run out!

IF I was an *******, I could have a lot of fun with this.

I'd suggest a couple of things. First off, definitely look at the Sunday ads and head off to any store that has the Wii in the ad. I happened to be in a Best Buy on a Sunday morning when they had the thing in the ad and they literally had a pallet of them stacked waist high. I would recommend checking the forums over at cheapassgamer.com. They have someone over there who posts the Sunday ads for all the major retailers several days in advance.

The other thing I would try is something like wiitracker.com. Sign up for email notifications and it will tell you as soon as a major online retailer has a system in stock.

I have had friends find systems both ways. Give it a shot and you should be able to grab one in a couple off weeks for sure. Good luck!

Shopko in Winona, MN. I checked there last night, as I am here for work today, they didn't have any then.

I checked this morning and they have them. The guy said they got them in last night!

It is a 4 hour drive AirWalke.... Sorry

I would think in a few weeks they will be all over. The big push to get them before xmas is over, so there will be some pent up demand, and then it will fade.

Apparently it's just as difficult to find a Nintendo DS. I've been trying to get one in Ames for the past week or 2 and everywhere is sold out. Nintendo really sucks at keeping products on the shelves.

I have one, you can play mine. I see they released a new shiny red one. Looks awesome. I just have the pearl one.

I got one for my wife's birthday last year. It took me almost two months to find the thing. By the time I found it I didn't care what color it was. She got the pink one. Found it at the Southside Toys R Us. Again, try there first.

What I don't understand is why Nintendo didn't ramp up a little for this Christmas season, the dumb*****. You would think they make the big money off the $50 games. If people can find the stupid Wii's a little easier they might be more willing to cut loose and buy a few more games.

Maybe I don't know what I am talking about or maybe I am just POed that we still haven't gotten the Wii we bought on ebay from some jerk that is only 25 miles away and never responded to my request to just come and pick it up BEFORE Christmas!

I think they did, it takes a while to ramp production on something like this up, and they admitted they could not keep up with demand. It is estimated they lost $1.3B on this.

I read last week that Nintendo is putting out 1.3 million units a month and people that still won't meet demand. I kept the slickdeals.net PS3 and Wii availability forum in my favorites last year and was able to get a Wii from sears.com one Tuesday morning while refreshing the page every 30 minutes or so. Didn't take long them for them to sell out, but that was my method.

1.3 million units a month is insane. I thought I might've been hitting Best Buy when supply was going down, but I had at least 5 people ask if there were more in the back as I was walking out with it.

Pretty fun console. It's kind of dull just having one game (Mario Galaxy), but it'll get better once I get more games. Definitely not worth the extra $100 people are paying for it on eBay.
