Long live Gary Barta
Don't shoot the messenger
When you control what you're sending out, I'll definitely shoot the messenger. You are a moron.
Just a suggestion here but you might want to change your title on this thread.
“The University of Hoks have the worst football contract in CFB”.
Kurt is laughing all the way to the bank.
I forgot, the USA Today saying he has the worst contract in college football isn't newsworthy right?
well, don't know, compared to the MBB contract Iowa has, it looks like a bargain.
Worst... or best? Because while I hate Ferentz I'm comfortable saying he probably has the best contract of any coach in college football. Whatever he's paying his agent isn't enough.
At least ISU is "receiving votes" in this poll.
I'm no fan of CyTwins usual trolling just like I abhor much of the trolling our resident hawks put on here. However, CyTwins didn't write this piece and his posting it here doesn't deserve the derision he is getting. How about talking about the merits of the points made in the article?
Lovie Smith's is worse than Ferentz'. At least Ferentz is successful.
First of all the article doesn't state that KF has the worst contract in all of football like CyTwins put in the headline.
Second of all, while KF does get paid a nice compensation, he has also produced at a good clip for the last 18 years and going. I'm sure Iowa will take the results that KF has given that has other likewise universities jealous of Iowa's results.
"top 10 highest paid coaches"
Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, Gus Malzahn, Kirk Ferentz. Seems like a pretty strong list to be included in.
You would think Iowa would get rid of win clauses for 6 (gets a bowl for any P5 team) and 7 wins at least.
One is not like the other though, how is it?
Edit: you forgot lovie also.
Even with Lovie on it, that is a pretty strong list of coaches there!
So basically just like Urban, Fisher and Gus, Ferentz has done such a great job coaching that he has demanded a really nice contract.
Sounds about right.
I don't know why but this post made me laugh. For whatever reason it reminds me of an ongoing skit from SNL. I laugh at this one every time....I don't trust that snake.
