If this rain pattern transitions into snow, there's gonna be a whole lot of water during spring snow melt.

Hoping for a good solid winter in WV this year. Last year it would rain too much and just wipe out the bases at the ski areas.

I’m not saying it will be wrong, but I feel like I hear that from the farmers almanac every single year.

It seems like it’s vague enough to be correct for at least part of the winter most years.

Whats the difference between Teeth Chattering cold, Stinging cold, and Biting cold? I feel like those are all synonyms for describing cold.

I would guess teeth chattering would be a 10mph north wind, sting cold would be a 15-20 mph wind, and biting would be 20+ mph.

Best thing weather-wise that I’ve noticed from moving from central Iowa to Central Ohio is the difference in wind. It’s never windy here. The base wind is 0-3 mph instead of 10-15 mph.
