Either that, or it means that every year there is an immense crowd in the Portal—especially with COVID years. One of the two.

If you want to see ex-Cyclones at other major schools, that only means our best players are being poached.

Let @brentblum cook.
Agree, former players being on other P5 teams would be a really bad trend. We're mostly losing guys who weren't going to play here, or play very much. Yes, that means they were recruiting misses. When you sign 20-25 high school players every year, along with 3-4 transfers, probably 10-12 of them will never play much. Just the way it is.

Planning on going to the Week 0 UNM game just to see if Eli plays. And because it was super cheap.
I might go check that game out too.

EDIT: Just bought tickets..... From what I have been hearing, the Lobos will rotate 3 running backs, but Sanders is expected to be the starter.

Former ISU kicker for like a season, never saw any action, (then transferred to Western Kentucky I think, and spent his final year at NC State) Brayden Narveson, had a nice preseason game for the Titans the other day. Went 3-3 from 21, 59, then a game winner as time expired from 46
He kicked 4 field goals in his one year at ISU. Hit a 48 yarder. Hit 35 of 41 field goals his first 2 seasons at WKU. Didn't do quite as well in his final season there (15-21) before heading to NC State, where he went 16-20 in his final collegiate season. Connected on all 187 xp attempts in college.

I dont feel bad now for not knowing who he was in the ISU NFL thread.

Not sure if this has been posted on here but I see Isheem Young is a starter at North Texas this year. Loved watching him play.

In the NIL era do we have a player that’s left and gone on to do much of anything at a bigger school? In any major sport?

This feels somewhat encouraging.
We've been remarkably successful so far in the NIL era at holding onto our high-impact players in both football and MBB. Tyrese Hunter is the only notable departure I can think of.

Hawk fans say it's because Denny Albaugh is paying them below water.
