Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard interviewed Chizik in Dallas on Saturday, the day after Texas lost to Texas A&M. He was offered the job later that night, and accepted it during a phone call with Pollard on Sunday morning.

So much for blaming ISU for UT's losses to KSU and A&M...

dont know how many stayed up but after the packers game was done and sports center came on they talked more about chizik then alambama and mich st, found it pretty cool

Wow, in reality this process only took two days. I dont know the effort it actually took to get that interview, but once they got it, they grabbed a hold and reeled him in.

Love this comment by Todd Blythe.
"You can tell he's a no nonsense guy. That's something we need in this program," Blythe said. "He told us he's not a guy that's going to be content with five, six, seven wins, and that's exactly how we feel as players."
