This field is only used to NFL play. B1G teams are just too powerful. It's kind of like Roy Hobbs knocking the cover off the ball in 'The Natural'.
Defective turf. Luckily it's in the end zone so the Colts haven't had to worry about it.
Actually, if you've been listening, the 100 yards between the end zones is the normal field of play, but both end zones are custom and were installed before the game. Dumbest idea ever.
How is a turf fixed in place? Surely it isn't just laying on the shredded tires. Are there tie-downs every few feet? I didn't see anything underneath the velcro seam in the endzone that would actually hold it down.
Yeah - until you end up with 10-minute in-game delays and risk the safety of the players because whole sections are coming at the seams.
This was exactly my thought when it happened. Love the ISU ground crew.
