The adventure begins in a few hours. Is there anyway on mapquest or any other site to view weather conditions along the way? I had planned to go the southern route but with some snowy stuff going on in western Texas I'm not sure right now...

Any help would be greatlly appreciated.

We will be leaving shortly after lunch also. We're still planning on taking I-35 to OKC then I-40 west. I'm hoping the snow doesn't add up to much. At least we'll be driving through there at night when there aren't as many idiots on the roads.

Driving in town isn't too bad. My only advice is to stay clear of the 101, 202 and 10 between 3-7. Rush hour on the PHX freeways is a nightmare!

But Tempe and Phoenix are really simple to figure out. Everything goes in a north/south, east/west grid. If you get lost, it is easy to find your way. Call ahead to places and ask them their cross roads, and that will make it easier to find places in town.

somewhere in pages 10-15 of the last winter storm thread there was a good link to a site that generated a mapquest like intenerary with weather conditions.
