McDermott wasn't fired. And I didn't include wrestling - was talking about FB/BB.

Of course firing isn't the only measure - but that's what was referenced in the post I quoted.

You're right, he wasn't fired, but he was going to be. I guess I've tried to blackout that era as much as possible.

The tone of your original post suggests that firings are the only measure of failure.
