This is like stealing someone's red stapler. I'd set the place on fire if they blocked anything related to the Cyclones.

mine just blocked Sirius, XM, and Pandora. I can no longer listen to my PAID account on my computer. Guess I will have to buy an XM home receiver now. We can still go on facebook, myspace and you tube though...and of course CF. I need my XM, I will forfeit the facebook, myspace, youtube.

If they did, you'd be hearing another story on the news about a crazed gunman gone bezerk...

In any case, you need to complain if CF has been banned and HN hasn't...

Nope. Should they? Yep.

I'm a much happier employee with CF though. And still get all of my work done plus more and on time so I don't think they really care.

They don't block it here. We can get into most sports related sites and Youtube. No hotmail, webmail, myspace, facebook, etc.

I think there would be a mass exodus if they did block CF, HN, CN or fantasy sites.

EDIT: Yikes, I re-read that. FANTASY SPORTS SITES.

I was kind of anticipating others from my company saying something about this topic but then I realized that they couldn't.:twitcy::twitcy:

I am the guy that puts the blocks in... so I guess I accidently forgot this one.

Not really, we don't block anything yet, well except myspace, and that should be blocked from the entire internet.

Its probably their Internet filter appliance. Ours looks at the site being requested. Then looks at your rights to see what you access to. At our company we have a bunch of Doctors that own the place and we had to give them rights to youtube, Guns and Ammo, nudity, (Plastic surgeons) and message boards. I did block the hawkeye message boards for an hour one for laughs. Wasn't so funny to some people.

I have noticed that our appliance will leave some message boards unblocked and some blocked.

If you don't have an appliance in place then you probably have a ***** for an IT guy and I would track his car down and pop his tires. :)

Pretty much all sites listed above are blocked at work to save bandwidth.

That is a weak excuse anymore. Bandwidth is darn close to free anymore. They just tell you it is bandwidth, they really just don't want you goofing off.
