CyHawk Kickoff

The Big 10 is releasing their first few weeks of kickoff times this afternoon. Another guy in my work unit has a subscription to one of the Hawkeye pay sites and supposedly the Iowa times have leaked including the CyHawk game which looks to be officially a 2:30 ABC/ESPN kickoff.

That would be a great kickoff time with great coverage. I'd be all for that. Beats being on the craphole of the BTN.

It's interesting how from 2000-2009 this game was basically a shoe in for the morning kickoff slot outside of the 2002 drunk fest at Kinnick and the Drew Tate beat down in 2005 which was a 2:30 game. Since 2010 this game has at least generated a little buzz on the radar. This will be the second time it has been on the 2:30 reverse mirror slot since 2010. Personally I like getting this game away from the morning kick off times. More rowdy that way.

I was supposed to have tix to that game and now have to go to a work conference and likely won't get to even watch it. Kinda upset.

I think we beat UConn on ESPN2, also OSU on ESPN. That's all I can think of in the last 5 years. Hopefully we don't embarrass ourselves at Kinnick this year.

BTN just confirmed it on twitter. Looks like the 2:30 timeslot is also shared with Ohio State v Kent State.

Seriously? Who the **** schedules a wedding for Iowa/Iowa State weekend? Even if they don't care about football, that just alienates a large portion of your family and friends.
