Since we were talking Jokic passing and there are 3 Ames connections in this play from a couple weeks ago. Monte running on the wing, Barnes completely fooled by the pass, and Haliburton smiling from the other angle on the slow motion replay at what his opponent just pulled off.

Last night I watched a recording of the OT win over the Clippers. That pass he made to Gordon to win it was a work of art.

The Bulls are still short-handed (LaVine and Ball are out for an extended period) so Matt should be getting minutes. How excited is he going to be vs. his home state's team on national TV (tonight):

This didn't stop a writer from speculating today about a buy-out pick-up of Paul Millsap and a release of Matt to make way for him.

Georges and Talen were as cold shooting as a walk across Central Campus in January but Monte and Matt are reppin' well so far tonight.

Matt just missed - looked like he may have been fouled. He's giving them good minutes and has 11 points. And he's in Wisconsin.

Dang. Just checked the box score. Monte with 13 in 1st half - leading scorer so far (somehow I think Jokic will end up with the most pts. And probably assists).
Yeah, Joker hit a crazy long 3 near the end of the half. On his way to a triple double (shocking, I know)

Matt was the only one hitting 3's at a good clip tonight. Kind of dumb to not have him in at the end when they were down 4.

announcers even discussed that with about four minutes to go. They ran plays atleast twice specifically to get Thomas looks at three. Thought the plays were drawn up nicely.

I guess the good thing is that what Matt brings to the table - shooting - is at a premium right now for Chicago. Caruso should get his stroke back but I think Matt is starting to get some rhythm, which was impossible for him last year.

A rundown of Clones in last night's NBA action:

THT followed up his 20-pt game with a slower statistical night, in a Lakers win. He ended with 2 PT on 1-4 shooting (0-2 3PT). He's averaging over 10 ppg but shooting under 25% from 3PT.

Monte had a blazing 1st half in scoring - 13 - but ended with a strange stat line: 17 PT (7-13 / 3-5), 0 AST and 2 TO. Monte, it's like we don't even know you anymore :) The Nuggets took the L vs a decent Grizzlies squad.

The 76ers blew a 24-pt lead to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory to the Clippers (sans Mssrs. Leonard and Paul). Georges got a lot of minutes because Danny Green didn't play. He won't look back at this one fondly - 7 PT on 3-11 / 1-7 shooting.

From icy shooting to the the Ice Man. The Bulls lost a close one to the Bucks and shot under 20% from 3PT. The only guy over 29% from 3PT was a Wisconsin native named Matt Thomas who had 11 PT in 19 MIN on 4-7 / 3-5 shooting. Lonzo Ball is out at least another month and Z. LeVine for at least another week, so Matt should get some more PT in upcoming games.

I noticed Monte with no assists. Even crazier, the Nuggets had 34 as a team and he had none of them!

The Kings' dropped another high-scoring one last night, this time @ Milwaukee. Big game from Tyrese in his home state - 8-14 / 3-5 shooting.

High-skill step back by Hali, for Mom and Dad:

Tip of the hat for Little Cyclone / Ronnie Harris' kid / Harrison Barnes for passing 10K points in this one.
