Jeff Hornacek was a total assist machine. Many good memories watching him on the hardwood. Also went on to have a great NBA career with the Jazz.

Yes, but one could argue that Heileman was a better #30 because he was taken in the NFL Draft.

Cox's number isn't retired because of his athletic accomplishments. The stories I've heard indicate that it was a unilateral move by Clay Stapleton, because he felt that Cox was the embodiment of a "student-athlete." And since you can't really unretire a number, that's that.

There's a very good chance that #28 won't be worn at ISU again, either. Nobody has for 10 years running, now.
