There's a chance ISU might be featured in two College GameDays.

Sept. 11: Keep in mind this will be the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, so we can’t rule out some form of 9/11 tribute here. Assuming ESPN doesn’t stray off the beaten path here, the choice is Iowa at Iowa State. GameDay has been to Ames once before, for Iowa’s 18-17 win in 2019. Matt Campbell’s Cyclones have beaten every important opponent more than once except Iowa. All things considered, I wouldn’t be surprised if GameDay breaks its all-time attendance record.

Nov. 20: A rematch of the 2020 Big 12 Championship… and a preview of the 2021 Big 12 Championship? Either way, Iowa State at Oklahoma is the choice here.

I only pause at Iowa/ISU being the pick here just because its very realistic that Iowa loses to Indiana on week 1.

I don’t believe that matters from a selection standpoint. They choose locations over a week before the games.

Ahh ok, I forgot when locations were picked. I always thought it was chosen Saturday night/Sunday morning after that weeks games concluded.

I guess I thought they chose on like Thursday the week before but I could be wrong!

They announce them on Saturday the week before, but I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that plans are laid further in advance than that.

Tweeting this two hours after saying he’s not one of the 5 best returning RBs

Someone I follow on Twitter said they honestly believe PFF is doing this to drive clicks / engagement because they know Iowa State fans will respond in bunches.

PFF loved Montgomery even though he didn't have the gaudiest stats. I think they rate based on tackles broken or some shiz.
