Jumping the gun on that would be a great way to stay in the good graces of the athletic department.
What exactly are you expecting, a weekly column to remind everyone that the program still sucks? We know, everyone knows, there is nothing else to say.
Guessing the OP would have liked the "Richard Pitino needs to go, regardless of how Gophers finish spiraling season" column in the Star Trib today. Going on on a limb and speculating that Patrick Reusse is not on the Pitino family Christmas card list anymore. 
You're not going to see anything like that in small paper Iowa. Most of the columnists are now just glorified beat reporters doing double duty and while they might drop a passive aggressive item once in a while that's going to be the extent of it. They can't risk losing their minimum wage jobs or alienating the athletic departments.
And CF isn't a newpaper with opinion pieces. It's half fan forum and the other half is basically ISU sports marketing. Nothing wrong with that.

You forget this isn’t a news site, it’s a fanatic site. They lose access by stating the obvious fact Prohm is the worst coach ever in the B12...
F that...this site was started in response to fans getting sick of the other site and just wanting to discuss ISU with out having to constantly hear "well on the premium board....". How the mighty have fallen.
Well... you're still here. So I guess you still find value in it. Chris explained in length, in one of the many free podcasts provided by this site, why he was going to the premium model back when the pandemic hit. The advertising revenue went to ****. Didn't sound like an easy decision. I'm not a premium subscriber, but we still get tons of great and free content that you can't get anywhere else. But go ahead and ***** about a site that gives you a lengthy interview with CMC for free when he barely speaks to any other media outlets. This place is still far and away the best place for ISU content IMO.
