It seems like Curt is just the same game-in and game-out. He is who he is. Other guys go through slumps and hot streaks but Curt is who he is and is just gonna hit 40% of his 3's no matter what. This type of guy is SO, SO valuable.
Like Tyrus McGee when Fred was here

Gets Sixth Man of Year award nationally and it’s not even close. #1 wonder how Otz knew that Jones would excel as a 6th starter? #2 wonder if the early minutes are different defensively in games & Jones insertion with fresh legs is key #3 my memory last year was that Jones really struggled from the 3pt line well into the season.

A 6th man who plays 32 minutes!

Curtis does so much well. He has only 7 turnovers on the season, averaging 5 rebounds a game. Plays great defense but is never in foul trouble. He and Jefferson are guys that when they get hands on rebounds it’s theirs. Oh yeah, he’s now our leading scorer and shooting 43% from 3.

He's an all timer to me.

Absolute dawg out there but exudes joy for what he's doing and his teammates.
kind of reminds me of Mike Nurse from the 2000 squad. Always calm, always hitting big shots we when need it. Heck, he came in and steadied the ship for us against Illinois last year.

Curtis is invaluable. It’s crazy how he got off to a slow start last year and people were questioning his ability. Sounds like a newcomer this year…

Testifying
Lipsey, Jones and Gilbert are the best three man backcourt in the country, and the best in Iowa State history. All three are absolute bulldogs in their own way. Jones is the silky smooth assassin, Gilbert is the tough as nails fighter, and Tamin is the relentless warrior.
And it feels like they really don't care about who fills up the sheet, they just want to win.

Always seems to make the shot when its needed most, calming influence, such a good defender. Dude deserves a shot in the NBA too. He's got the range from three and can defend at that level with his length. Might just be our most important player.
