Dresser was pretty candid about Carroll.

Thinking we might see Bartelt in Nashville. 17 guys making the trip all expected to get matches.

Guessing
125 - Terukina/Perryman
133 - E Frost/Osmany
141 - J Frost
149 - Fousek
157 - Chittum/Paniro
165 - MJ/Rojas
174 - Riggins
184 - Nando/Bockman
197 - Bartelt/Haegerty
285 - Yonger/Herrera

Looking at this weekend, pretty tough couple of duals.

125 - Lock Haven - NR, UNC - #23, Ohio St - #6

133 - Lock Haven - #13, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #7

141 - Lock Haven - #21, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #2

149 - Lock Haven - #31, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #12

157 - Lock Haven - NR, UNC - #25, Ohio St - #7

165 - Lock Haven - NR, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #11

174 - Lock Haven - #29, UNC - #16, Ohio St - #15

184 - Lock Haven - #30, UNC - #18, Ohio St - #15

197 - Lock Haven - NR, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #19

285 - Lock Haven - NR, UNC - NR, Ohio St - #8

On paper we are favored against both Lock Haven and UNC but a sizeable underdog to Ohio State. Should be fun.

Who do we even have "on paper"? Our lineup is such a god damn mess.

There was a lot of ducking last year ( Cornell comes to mind ) - hope they all wrestle this year
I think it’s time to end the ducking talk. These are D1 wrestlers who deal with constant injuries, sickness, and weight issues.

When the entire season is meaningless until March, coaches and athletes will do what they feel is best for their athletes. There are several times this year that outsiders could complain about our guys ducking.

Just the way it is. The time of wrestling through minor injuries, illness, and bad weight cuts is a thing of the past.

It's just a coincidental shame that all of those Cornell guys -- who each just happened to be ranked higher than their potential Iowa State opponents -- suddenly got hurt, sick, or had weight issues after already wrestling two matches that day.

Just dumb luck, really. Remarkable dumb luck.

Yep. Things absolutely do come up and they can't be avoided.

That was the most egregious example of ducking I can remember.

Seems odd that we went quickly from 'Yonger will probably medical red shirt and Herrera is our guy this year' to 'Yonger is back this weekend, but we're bringing Herrera to College Duals and will burn his redshirt on it.'

Sounds like KD definitely intends to put our best lineup out there if possible. He also mentioned Anthony coming back in January and of course, the RS is off Cody. If that's the case, it doesn't make sense to burn Herrera's RS, does it?

There are injuries, weight issues, illness and there is ducking , it hasn’t magically disappeared.

There is but how we know the difference is the question.

The Frost/Knox situation looks an awful lot like a duck objectively. Hope it’s not, but who knows.

Just saying if we’re ISU fans want to throw that term around, expect to see it right back.

Come on Crabby. Everyone knows what Cornell did last year. Let’s not sugarcoat it.

Of course people get hurt throughout the year but that wasn’t the case.

KD is the most open coach in all of wrestling related to injuries. Bar none. Each and every week he trying to put our best out on the mat.

What’s your thoughts on why Frost didn’t wrestle Lnox after making weight and not having an injury?
