I would say start looking at DB coaches in the MAC and it should be easy enough to predict. Campbell usually hires guys he knows or has worked with. I'm guessing he has about 500 resumes in his inbox tomorrow.

I think that’s literally the first defensive coach to leave under Campbell. THE FIRST.

Bit of a bummer. Excited to see who we get.

Anyone else see the pic of Campbell with “joining Eagles” at first glance? Panic for a millisecond? I did

Since Caponi has experience with both Corners and Safeties, I’d give him a pay bump and then go get Robby Discher from Louisiana for Special Teams and asst DB coach.

Does Payne still have a year remaining as a grad assistant? If not, would try to get him a Quality Control position and see if Lawrence White is ready to be a grad assistant if he doesn’t make an NFL team. Having those former players connecting the newcomers to the culture is a great benefit.

For as good as they’ve been it’s really impressive how stable they’ve been able to keep the D staff. Imagine that’s a big reason they’re so consistent.
