cityview top 100 bars in Des Moines

They don't have the Royal Mile or El Bait Shop but they find room for places like G. MIGs, Jeanie's Bottle, and Mustards. Am I missing something?

Wow, no kidding. Someone at City View must have a real beef with someone at El Bait Shop. Either that, or these people are deranged if there are 100 bars in Des Moines that they like better.

edit: they probably did it intentionally because omitting what many people would consider the best bar in Des Moines will generate more buzz than just another boring list of bars in Des Moines.

No El Bait?? A little odd since it's Iowa's most well know and highest rated bar by almost every publication that has top bar lists.

El Bait shop/High Life
Royal Mile/Red Monk
Keg Stand
Fongs-Wish it was bigger
Confluence-Not really a bar but a good place to drink
515- Not really a bar but a good place to drink
Up/Down-Bar itself is a dive but decent beer selection and video games make up for it
Beachwood
Wellmans WDM-Patio
Hessen House

Bingo. This isn't a list of the Top 100 bars in Des Moines; it's a list of bars who paid to be promoted in City View. I'm guessing El Bait Shop and Royal Mile just laughed when City View called and asked if they wanted to be included.
