Is Big 12 (Pac 12) defense bad or is the offense just good?

Is Big 10 (SEC) defense good or is the offense just bad?

These are never ending arguments but heck it's off season and time to re-load some statistics for August. Anyone have anything substantial that can lean those teeter totters one way or the other?
