We had some decent interest in this last year so I thought I would see if anyone is interested in doing bracketology again this year. Should have my preseason bracket done soon.

It would be cool to have someone dubbed the CF Bracketologist and start to get the information put into the Bracket Matrix (http://www.bracketmatrix.com/)

There was discussion about getting on the matrix last season, but I'm not sure how possible that was. 500,Cash, and I made consensus brackets last year that turned out pretty well, and better than some of the brackets that ended up on the matrix.

just sent the guy at BracketMatrix an email, just have to wait now.

Told him me, 500, and CoKane would team up to make a bracket.

    Excellent.

I was preparing plans to set up *** Official CF Backetology *** thread within the past week, but a bunch of work obligations delayed the process.

Now that we're in-swing, I have some details for participants about tournament sites, postseason-ineligible schools, and stuff like that.

Oh, I have to actually finalize my bracket.

If we do succeed with inclusion in Bracket Matrix, should we set up a thread separate from CF Bracketology?

I don't have an opinion either way, but it'd probably be simpler to manage. (And we could still do brackets throughout the season in this thread). We can assess that depending on what happens.

CF deserves consideration for Matrix. We don't have a large team of analysts, but it's highly reliable & informed.

Major Rep! Apparently I have to wait to give you an "official" Rep. So, I'll spread the compliments among all CF-bracketeers.

Thanks for doing legwork on this, $.

Still sucks we can't play in Des Moines, hopefully we are good enough to be the 2 seed in the midwest.

    Great info!

also, will this be the type of bracket where we project "if the season ended today" or will it be based on end of season projections.

I would lean toward "if the field were announced today" strategy.

For the preseason bracket, it'll be sort of a combination of the two. Thereafter, it'd reflect current pulse.

2 seed in Midwest seems realistically-ideal. And probably playing first weekend in St. Louis.

Nice bracket. The first thing I notice is having ISU/OU in the sweet 16. I'd think they'd try to avoid that.
