I can't wait to hear how much of a **** pumping our reserve team gave the starters during that time haha. Just kidding, but kinda not.

I still need to listen to Part 1.

    Garrett
    Christopherson
    Anderson
Ejim (or at least the freshman version)
    Vanderbeken

    v.

Palo (assuming you count him as a "reserve")
    Allen
    Babb
    Booker
    White

Yeah, I would take that bottom team over that top team any day of the week.

Why did you post this 10 minutes after I left for my walk? Now I have to go for another one. Dammit.

Insightful. I didn't realize how much "vetting" happened at the time.

I'm curious to know which transfers they turned away in that first wave. Doubtful any of the coaches or JP would reveal than info on the record.

This is dangerously close to real journalism! :) (since we have no sarcasm emoji) Nice work to fill in the void of real in season game information with meaty material. I appreciate the time it must have taken to track down the sources, get them committed to the interviews, then to sort through all the material you collected to get it down to the soundbites we heard in the first two segments. Kudos to everyone involved.

So glad that you guys like these. It's by far the most time consuming project I've ever tackled in my career. Combine the interviews, writing, editing, recording, etc., and we're putting I'd guess 25-30 hours into each episode. It's one of the benefits to being independent. Don't have a corporation counting our hours telling us what we can and cannot do. We appreciate your support.

CW I know we give you guys crap sometimes, but stuff like this and the regular content, plus just keeping the site going is something we all appreciate though we might not always tell you that. Nice job.

We wanted Finney Smith, we did pass on Edwards because we didn't think he was good enough though

Chane Behanan is the one person on the list above that I’m confident ISU passed on. He had very public issues at Louisville.

I remember all except Behanan. Totally had forgotten about Finney-Smith. Were any of those guys available to play immediately, or were they sit-out transfers? Or a little of both?

Interesting to hear about the role of Tom Hill. Having the top student services executive involved in the vetting had to help a lot.

In my other opinion this is the best content CF has created. Great stuff. Would love to see more of this type of content.
