Neither Georges or McKay had a big first half, they were guarding each other. McKay probably trying to do too much on offense. Georges was having his way when McKay went out.

Georges has improved his foot speed considerably with the loss of weight............ To me he looked like a different guy out there on breaks and getting back to defend.

Observations from the first night....I saw the first two games and part of the 3rd.

1. Georges is Georges is Georges. Georges is really, really good. He started a bit slow, but turned it on later and looked comfortable on his foot.

2. McKay could be really good. His arms are super long and he had a pretty sweet dunk.

3. Kourtlin Jackson looked good as well. Had a nice looking shot.

4. Naz was really good. I thought he was really great last year in the CCL and he picked up right where he stopped. I was thinking as I was watching him that everyone who watched him last summer had no idea what he'd turn into for us last year. Let's just say that there was a lot more crowd focus on him tonight! Oh, and I think Naz has put on some good weight. He seems a lot more solid.

5. SDW didn't try and take over tonight and I took that as a good sign. He hit a few 3's and has some good moves.

6. Hogue looked good. I think he can do a pretty good job filling Mel's role next year.

7. Nader hit quite a few threes while I was watching and he is fast.

8. Custer has some nice moves to the basket.

9. All of our players look like they are having a good time out there and just seem like fun guys. That's nice to see.

I have no idea if next year's team will be as talented as this year's team or if they'll have the same incredible chemistry, but there is a lot of pretty good players on the roster. And Monte, Matt, and BDJ weren't there tonight. It's hard to see where minutes will come from. Good problem to have.

Oh for god's sake. He lost 12 pounds. Not 50. He wasn't that slow last year. Georges' weight is one of the bigger dumb topics of conversation on this board.

Actually, it's a pretty big factor.
