It had to be that this would turn into a Grill transfer vs Hunter transfer. Maybe we should just accept that players leave for a variety of reasons and end up in particular places for a variety of reasons and let it go.

It was $840,000. 70k per month.
Yea, nobody will blame the kid for getting paid (I would have done the same). But you best expect you're going to be the target of some relatively harmless harassment from fans if you make a decision like that to transfer in conference to a universally disliked opponent all the while poking the bear.

This. Look at our roster this past season. All but Lipsey were transfers into the program. Why is it ok to reap the benefits from incoming and in the same breath trash people who want to go somewhere else. Some of you sound like a person that got dumped and can't get over it

It’s unfortunate that he struggles with his mental health, but it doesn’t change the facts. It’s not just a get out of jail free card.
Not a get out of jail free card... But how he handled himself afterwards was stellar. Give him alot of credit. Will always cheer for him.

Oh my gosh! He said that? So hurtful.

There's no bending in knots. There's a difference between unwanted players transferring out versus someone we all thought would be a huge part of our team.
Name any other players that left or left early that isu fans reacted to like Tyrese. There aren't any. Because non left like Tyrese. Weird hill for you to die on.

There was a thread a long time ago that disproves this. There was no public bashing of ISU from Hunter. There isn’t any evidence of this at all. This is a Mandela Effect created by message boards.

There was a little tit for tat with Gabe on Twitter trash talking each other. And if that bothered us as a fan base we couldn’t possibly be softer.

I won’t root for Grill as I didn’t root for Hunter, but I don’t blame either for moving on.
So are you saying when Chris has brought this up in podcasts several times, he's not being correct? Give me a break.

Chris has never said Tyrese publicly bashed ISU, because Tyrese never has bashed ISU publicly. You’re just flat out wrong saying he did.

Was there bad blood when he left ISU. Sure. There obviously was with Caleb too.

Adam Haluska got it as least as bad as Tyrese Hunter.

Wes Johnson never came back to Hilton, but he was a figure of equal ire for a long time.

The only person having difficulties on a hill here is...you. See various responses demonstrating that the reaction to Hunter is not unique and that his situation is distinguishable from many others.

You're trying too hard. Chris HAS pointed out on more than one occasion that Hunter made the choice to be a bit spicy towards ISU with his tweets. And this was on more than the one occasion you dismiss as "tit for tat". Maybe he hadn't used the term "bash" but he HAS SUGGESTED THAT HUNTER DID SO. Give it a rest, Mr Walking Bucket.

Wow. Now there is a serious charge.

Maybe the crack team of dime store detectives at the DSM Register can get right on this. Oh, wait.......the propaganda wing on CF has already done the ground work and because of this "SUGGESTION"...........the illusion has become reality.

Not unlike the picture of Tyrese with horn's up next to Johnny's statue I would guess. Outstanding work all.

What's that famous quote by P.T. Barnum?

You should know all about suckers.

The real point is that the statement was TRUE that Chris WIlliams made comments regarding Hunter being less than classy in his departure and making the decision to engage in spicy tweets. Claiming that CW did not do so is inaccurate and untruthful.

He did not literally use the word "bash" and perhaps it means something different to an enlightened deep thinker as you appear to believe yourself to be. There's no illusion involved.

How you turn that into the word salad post above, I just don't know.

As for Ayagi's posted image, I believe he or she made it clear that it wasn't intended to be taken seriously, given the low quality photo shop and logical inconsistencies. Did it make sense that Hunter came back to the ISU campus dressed in his Texas duds and entered Johnny's to flash the horns? NO, of course not. Propaganda it was not.
