While the Big 12 pundits are conceding our win in Iowa City was a good win, they're questioning whether our offense is good enough for ISU to be one of the top tier Big 12 teams. This is based on the fact that we've only scored a total of 41 points in the first 2 games.

I don't agree with this assessment, but that's what they are saying.

Thankfully, there’s plenty of games left to prove them wrong. The conference schedule is backloaded, so there’s also plenty of time to get the offense on track. Just gotta be good enough to beat the middle tier teams in the meantime. But we’re likely to need to put up points against UCF on October 19th.

I'm afraid everyone is overlooking our first conference game at Houston. They just took Oklahoma down to the wire. Our coaches and players just have to keep their focus on the next game on the schedule and not look ahead or behind. That other stuff is for fans.

If Travis can start at LT against Arkansas State, I wonder who he will push out of the lineup. I thought the plan would be to move Neal to guard, but he has been the lowest graded OL the past two games.

Also, It looked like Hasert was dressed for the Iowa game. Not sure if he will also eventually start or just be a depth piece.

Agreed. There’s a couple more games to see what the real Houston is. Are they the team that got smoked by UNLV or the team that hung with Oklahoma?

As a side note, I don’t think Oklahoma is that good. It’s tempting to take Tulane plus the points this week.

Willie Fritz is a good coach so I'm sure he will improve the team fairly quick.

That more speaks to Oklahoma than Houston I would say. Was really hoping Houston would pull that one off. Oklahoma will not do well this year, or probably any time soon in my opinion. They've lost the advantages they once had.

Arkansas State is 2-0*.

They scored the game-winning TD against Central Arkansas in week 1 on an acknowledged bad replay call -- after an 8-and-a-half minute review.

Bye weeks always suck from a fan's perspective, but it will be a lot more tolerable since we got the dub. And the team desperately needs it.

Late on Saturday night I was too wired to go to bed, so I scanned youtube for videos to watch and stumbled from some kind of Iowa reaction podcast. They were fairly level headed with the loss. At the very end, the host mentioned that Iowa had a bunch of in state recruits at the game, and that most are being recruited by Iowa State as well. They worried that seeing Iowa State's grit and culture up close would work in our favor.

Maybe Campbell will use the bye week to hit the recruiting trail and leverage the mo

Curious to how they do this v. Michigan. Every week is different but it's an apple to apple comparison for the voters to look at after we give them a beat down.

20 of those came in one half versus the Ditka Iowa City Bears so that should count for something.
