    Bridget Carlton - Team Canada

ISU WBB Recruit Bridget Carlton will be competing in the FIBA U17 World Championships starting today. I Think all games are going to be streamed live on the www.fiba.com website under the U17 Women World Championships. They play Hungary today at I think 1:15 CST.

Lost in OT to Hungary. It was sort of slow and clunky game. From what I saw Carleton played okay but I did missed much of the game.

You don't know her last name?

She had a nice game 20-8-3 shooting 5/9 from long range but 1/4 from the line where the team as a whole only shot 6/14. That's how you lose by 3. (that and the fact Hungry made 25 FTs)

Wow! I just watched the replay of the game, she came out on fire the second half and scored 18 of her 20 points in the second half.

The swing game for the group is happening right now. Canada is behind, and it looks like she is carrying them...

Bridget has been a BEAST for Canada averaging 18.5ppg (no one else on team over 10ppg) with shooting over 50% from 2 and 3. Also leading team in rebounding at 6.2 and second in assists.

HUGE challenge for Team Canada as they face USA on Friday (I think)

Regardless Carlton may be the best in a really good class of 2015 for ISU (that got better today with the commitment of Burkhall)

Only if the US beats Mexico. So yeah, Canada will face the USA.

USA is up 41-16 on Mexico partway through the 2nd quarter.

Now 59-21 at half. I really suspect Canada will be playing the US on the 4th of July.

USA crushed them by 40 and than Canada got crushed by Australia by 30. Bridget didn't have any noteworthy stats in those games but I didn't watch the games. For the tourney she by far lead her team in minutes and did shoot 40% from three.

USA beat Spain by 1 point to win it all. Spanish guard was the MVP. All-tourney team was 2 USA, 1 Spain and 2 Czech gals. Wonder if any of the foreign gals are USA bound for school?
