Man did Halice Cook and Matt Thomas just become bottom feeders? No one thinks those guys will be impact players next season???
Cook is a question mark IMO bc of his injury, I think he'll be a big contributor but it could take him a few games to get back into the swing of things. As far as Matty....to this point, what has he done to prove he can contribute game in game out? I think we could live with him being a one trick pony that could come in and make a couple 3pt shoots every night but he hasn't shown that either. It's all about being more consistent for Matt. We need him to turn the corner and prove himself.
Either way, we will NEED one of these two to step up and show they can score every night. Last season, the trio of BDJ, Nader and Matt were our biggest Achilles. We tried to replace Kane and Ejim's production with Hogue, Naz and McKay in the starting lineup, that put a lot of pressure on the bench to score points bc let's face it, that group was more of a defensive lineup. Ideally the 3 guys off the bench would give us the points we were missing from DK and ME, they just never consistently gave us what we needed. It was the biggest reason we didn't make a tourney run.
