He was 54 on Scout, 51 on ESPN, 55 on 247,

I do think if fred had it in his mind to stay he would have landed a couple 5☆ recruits
that is, by far, the best article/interview I've read on him. It's nice to finally know why and how he ended up in Des Moines.
I'll admit to being one who hardly believed he actually existed.
Don't forget Custer that didn't play.... we had 6 four star players five in the rotation. Next year we will have 5 in the rotation. Pre- Hoiberg we never had more than 3 iirc.

Thanks for posting. Two take aways from Malou's quotes, looks like he wants to play SF/stretch PF, which he'll be doing at Yuba this year, and he wants to compare his game to Kevin Durant's (that is lofty but I can see the similarities fom KD's one year at Texas.)
It sounds like the guy ran out of money. He probably didn't intend to do that to the kids, but was too ambitious for the infrastructure and funding needed to start up a prep school.
The more I hear about these "Prep Schools", the more suspicious I am about the quality and creditation standards of the education; no wonder they all "graduate" with high GPA's....

Thanks for the link. I was under the assumption that Malou was possibly a one-and-done type of player. There is a lot of talent there, but he still has to prove it.
It would be fun to see Morris hang around and pair these two up, but if Morris makes the jump, it'll be for a good reason.

Yes, the kid seems pretty level headed. Most kids in his situation would probably have washed out by now and ended up signing a crappy deal overseas.
Having Malou for only 1 year would be a great problem to have.
That's actually my article, I was about to post it haha. Yeah, for someone born in Kenya and raised in Australia, he had virtually no accent whatsoever. And the whole "bashing then complimenting" the coach, it was clear even over the phone he had something he really wanted to say when I asked him "Is there anything you'd want to tell Glendon?" but I was very impressed that he held back and just said "I probably shouldn't"
