Probably a smart move on his part. Obviously doesn't help OU out this year, but these are valuable starts for Landry Jones.
Ironically, his decision to skip the draft and subsequent injury may push more players into the draft early and ultimately hurt his draft position.
Hope the surgery does the trick, hate to see such a promising player forced to hang up his cleats early.

He may be experienced by then, but OU is going to lose a ton of talent from this year's team. Bradford, Trent Williams, Gerald McCoy, Jermaine Gresham, DeMarco Murray, Chris Brown, Ryan Reynolds, Dominique Franks, Auston English, Jeremy Beal & DeMarcus Granger are all either seniors, or juniors that are expected to leave for the draft.
Granted, OU will have very talented guys that will step in, but they're not going to be world beaters next season.
For whatever reason, when I saw he was leaving after surgery, I said, outloud, "Have fun on your back in St. Louis..."
