We stayed at the RV park in Tonopah last March. Interesting area with nice mountain views in the distance. What the article doesn't mention is that this is a project that was started back in 2006 by a different developer. That developer walked away from the project and his parent company went bankrupt. Gates bought a controlling interest in the project, however his name could make it a success this time.

Best comment I saw in stories of this was someone questioning why develop natural open space....Bill has the money to build his smart city in some of the urban wasteland of Detroit or Chicago or some other City. Recycle! Refurbish!

That is a valid and real concern.

I think the SW, with its' sunshine, allows for better ways to fuel a community.
