I hate that our fate could be in the hands of OU. I really don’t trust them to win in Morgantown. The OU defense is abysmal, and they will be going to a hostile night crowd. OUs offense has such a small room for error with the defense the Sooners have. I think I almost feel better about WVU losing in Stillwater.

Which is the worst loss TCU or Iowa, just based on team?

Forget OU beating WVU at this point, I have my doubts about us beating Texas. Our run defense looks quite average during the last two games, and for some reason, we've decided that we can't cover receivers closely either. That's not a winning recipe for a road game at DKR.

I hope Coaches Campbell and Heacock have just been keeping things hidden up their sleeves the last two weeks and are planning something nasty for next Saturday night. Texas is waaaay better than Baylor.

Best scenario:

This week, ISU beats Texas and OSU beats WV.

On Black Friday, OU beats WV.

That would mean Iowa State would be guaranteed second place in the Big 12, no matter what happens in the ISU/KSU game.

We've had 4 chances to take second place and all 4 have ended with the team we need to win losing. I don't count on anything.

The field looked awfully slippery against Baylor. I think that's why Baylor's receivers were able to get so open.

I agree. Baylor exposed a big gap between our blitzes and our down-field coverage.

Oh, sure - I am an old-school Cyclone fan. but I am worried.

Excited as Hell to be here in mid-November. But worried...

Agree with everything else except the bolded.

Iowa State will need to get their **** together and play a good game, but Texas is a team they can simply beat.

Baylor's version of the spread is different than many others though, generally going over the top or power run between the tackles. That forces the defense to open up a bit in the middle, and they were able to take advantage. Most other teams won't send 2+ guys deep on nearly every play.
