These numbers are thru December so they don't include any conference games:

Kansas -- 16,300
Iowa State -- 14,243 (Doesn't seem right)
Oklahoma State -- 12,923
Kansas State -- 12,453
Texas -- 10,709
Nebraska -- 9,131
Texas A&M -- 9,098
Oklahoma -- 8,882
Baylor -- 6,441
Colorado -- 5,679
Missouri -- 5,554
Texas Tech -- 5,181

Above the Rim - Tech attendance ... shameful ... tell me why?

Here are the basketball arena capacities per Wikipedia.
Kansas -- 16,300 --100% filled
Iowa State -- 14,092 -- 100%+ filled
Oklahoma State -- 13,611 -- 95% filled
Kansas State -- 12,500 -- 99% filled
Texas -- 16,755 -- 64%
Nebraska -- 13,595 -- 67%
Texas A&M -- 12,989 -- 70%
Oklahoma -- 12,000 -- 74%
Baylor -- 10-284 -- 63%
Colorado -- 11,064 -- 51%
Missouri -- 15,061 -- 37%
Texas Tech -- 15,020 -- 34%

Something isn't quite right for our attendance numbers but I'm guessing we are averaging around 13,000 or somewhere in that vicinity.

Some interesting numbers though.

Hard to say Jamie's cooking the books on that one, but jeez that does seem high.

*Attendance figures provided by the Big 12 Conference. Some teams report tickets sold. Tech is one school that reports actual attendance.

I'm guessing this is your answer. We must be reporting tickets sold rather than attendance.

That's obviously paid attendance, but even then it seems inflated.

Still, nice to be at the top. :)

All other teams report paid attendance (except for Tech) so we are still comparing apples to apples. But yeah, its good to be around the top.

I don't understand why teams like Baylor, Nebraska, Missouri have such awful attendance for being "good" this year.

With the scanning of tickets this year, would be nice to see some actual attendance numbers. Obviously ISU has them, depends on if they plan to make them public or not.

According to the Box scores for those games the average is 13,544, at least for tickets sold. That is still pretty good for non-conference games in a season with not much expectations.

A quick check of our season stats shows an average home attendance of 13,297 per game. Not sure where this fella gets his numbers from.
Also, It shows there being several times where our attendance is 14,376 so when the new seats got put it, the capacity must have expanded as well.

Not that it matters a ton since our numbers are pretty close, but how did you come up with 13,544?

Bobby Knight did a pretty amusing job of letting fans know about the sad attendance during his 900th win speech too! Good Ole Bob, always good for a quote.

I am pretty sure Baylor's arena only holds 8k-10k or so, so I don't think they are doing bad. But that makes their numbers look odd also.

K-state has come back from the abyss man that place used be empty unless Kansas was in town

Give it a few years. With no Walker or Beasley and Frank Martin at the helm I'm honestly not concerned about KSU in the future.
