Huge response from the Big 12 after Week 1. A lot of people downplay bowl results, but they have a huge effect on where you start the next season. And right or wrong, that matters in today's college football. Oklahoma, and Iowa State are likely top 10 to start the season. Texas and Oklahoma State will likely be ranked with an outside shot for WVU.

A huge part of that stat is our “boring” ball control offense that low-IQ football fans love to hate, yelling at their TV for us to “throw the damn ball!”

This is an unpopular take but what ISU did today (when they stuck to what was effective) was the most fun offensive football to watch imo and it's the way ISU going to maintain success.

The D was helped by a lot of turnovers ... but it’s still amazing and an amazing stat. They didn’t convert a single 3rd down.... for a minute you had to wonder if they would have one! The O was the best D in this case....
I like to think good Defensive play leads to turnovers. Not 100% correlation of course, but knocking the ball out and paying attention and jumping on loose balls is part of heads-up defensive play.

The turnovers today were good defensive plays. They were "forced". At least the two fumbles. Defenses practice that **** all the time.
