I never know when my hearing is betraying me but did Fonz really start a sentence with, "In my 47 years....".

That was hilarious (if it happened).

That was what I heard as well. That is one thing about this show, they do a really good job of throwing in subtle humor that can really land if you catch it. Also with Fonz and Detective Moss, their whole dynamic isn't over just yet, I don't think.

Another thing that's intriguing is in the preview for next week, Moss calls out Barry as one of the marines in the accident and is positive that its him. She may be onto his case now.

I'm sad to hear people are giving up on Barry so soon. :(

I've been loving it, as it is a completely unique show to anything I've seen.

I gave up on it being must see "A" TV but still watching cause it's only 1/2 hour and on right after Silicon Valley. Watching both because they are conveniently timed to follow Westworld on an otherwise boring Sunday late night. I do have to mute the sound when they are doing their acting class skits. For some reason those scenes are like chalk on a blackboard to me.

Taylor (and detective gal) breathed some life into this the last two episodes. Went full Leeroy Jenkins one too many times though. Enjoyed his scenes. One thing he's right on though, offing Fuches.

Was sort of surprised to see the crazy Chechen brother go down in a blaze of gunfire. Thought they would have him hanging around as a threat to Barry's annoying love interest actress gal.

Also, the NoHo Hank describing how a nice open concept for their new stash house would really "open things up. Idk I'm just spit balling here"

Gotta love people continuing to take jabs at the whole "white people renovating houses" craze haha

I agree that Taylor is right about Fuches, especially when Barry said that they split 50/50. But the final scene may have thrown a wrench into that for now. I'd have to think Barry will see that Fuches was right about Taylor and feel bad for going against him. But that is just my assumption due to Barry being too soft to push people fully out of his life.

1 More Random In-Put: I may be behind on this, but I've been trying to place where I know the actor who plays Goran (Glenn Fleshler) from. It finally came to me last night.

He played Errol Childress in the first season of True Detective.

I really liked the show at the beginning, but it has been off for me once Barry got drunk and jealous on Sally. Really seemed out of character to me.

Plus, the acting in the acting school is so horrible (including Barry). It is not even cheesy funny.

I will watch the remainder since it is on at a convenient time, but will be interesting to see if HBO picks it up for another season.

It's been picked up already. It's been very critically acclaimed all season, and they re-upped Season two 3 and a half weeks in I believe.

edit: my bad 83 beat me to it.

Actually, last night was a really great episode but still marveling at how they wrap all that up in another half hour.

Last nights episode was great. I think I'm liking Barry more than Silicon Valley. Their trajectories are totally different since one is season 1 and the other is 5(?) but the mix of wtf and black comedy is fantastic in Barry.

Spoilers:
The little character development situations that have been a constant throughout are really a well-done part of this show for me. Sally's character is so infuriating to me, but that is what she is supposed to be. She's the actress who believes that she is the only one good enough to actually make it in Hollywood, and her selfishness comes out when things don't go her way. She blames everyone else for being too selfish or not good enough when in actuality all of her problems with other people are the major problems of her character.

I listened to Bill Hader talk about Barry's development after last episode and he discussed Barry's internal monologue to not be willing/able to kill a marine and how it was really well personified in the characters of Taylor and Chris.

Taylor, the crazy killing machine who lives with no remorse for death or the law, is the post-military marine that Barry never wants to become and can't stand(for the most part) but when it comes time to kill him, for legitimate reasons, he can't do it because of his morale code. Then oppositely, Chris is the post-military life that Barry longs for, a family man who has moved on from his military career, and is happy to be living a normal life. But because Barry was unable to kill the potential-bad marine that he can't stand, it forced his hand to kill the type of marine he has always wanted to be.

Season rallied yuge the last two or three episodes. Finale was pretty ******* good.

That finale was amazing. They had foreshadowed it all season with Barry's dreams about a life with Sally, and the whole time I am thinking this is not real. But yes, apparently it was. Damn!

Fonz is going to be crushed.
