The guy called Stevie a "crack-head scumbag". Stevie was mentally ill and because of that he killed himself. "Crack-head scumbag" isn't a joke. It's an attack on the character of a person who died tragically after suffering for years. There's no reason to debate context. It happened on HN and Miller let it continue to happen even after other hawk fans commented on how classless it was. By your own admission you're not familiar with the comments I'm referring to so just leave it at that. We're not talking about degrees. The statements I'm referring to indicate a lack of human decency not bad taste.

In the interest of being fair, both fanbases have posters that lack class.

There were plenty of posters making jokes about Dolphin being diagnosed with cancer, not that long ago. Many of those posts made reference to him deserving for being a hawkeye, which is almost worse, in my opinion.

None of it is excusable, and I'd hate for people in this thread to cast stones when they shouldn't.
