Anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not this movie is kid friendly?

Swearing, blue alien side-boob, and animated war violence. The story itself isn't anymore adult than say Star Wars.

I would say no but it depends on how old your kids are. If they are under 10 I think the animals in the movie would scare them

The language is fairly prevalent -- standard military-speak. No f-bombs, fortunately. We did take our 8 & 6-year olds to it. (We've talked a lot to them about language and not focusing on it when on TV/movies)
