Bands don’t go to either place anymore. Bandgate stopped that.Talked with a band member a few days ago and she told me the band was not going.

Great college town. Great atmosphere. The new end zone renevation is nice. The rest of it is a century old dump. When you walk in, you will say to yourself, this is kind of a dumpy place.
I'd say they're worse at Jack Trice, there just aren't as many.We would have an easy place to park but I would never go to a game there. They are bad enough at Jack Trice. Our friends who live not too far from the stadium have nightmare stories about what Hawk fans have done to and on their property.
Don't throw stones until you see the ones around Campustown here in Ames...Iowa City is especially claasy this year...
Meh, I think it's usually spot on. Some bad experiences, some good ones. Iowa City is a drunk place, and Iowa fans are notoriously mouthy and ill mannered. That said, I agree, I've never had any issues outside of drunk frat boys yelling **** state or whatever. This bi-annual thread is always so lame. Don't go looking for trouble and you'll be fine. Wear your ISU gear with pride but don't be an a**hole.
I'll be there tomorrow and have only missed one Cyhawk game (2013 - brother got married that day!) in 21 years.
I somewhat agree except the fact is if you wear anything red you will get comments and depending on what random individual or group you chance to encounter, the result is related to: how drunk they are, what peer group or girlfriend they need to impress or what degree of trailer park hawkism is in their brain cells. Individual Iowa graduates are alright but can be boorish. I’ve been to all the Big 8 and Big 12 road games at Lincoln, Columbia, Manhattan, Lawrence on and on and no fan base comes close to the Hawkeyes. I agree it’s primarily non graduates but you don’t see that from other school’s non graduate fans. There is a weirdness to Hawks. This bi-annual thread is always so lame. We also have a neighbor to the west who has been somewhat humbled lately but for about 50 years was just as bad or worse than them. They say we're soft, but they've never had to deal with the obnoxious majority like we have our entire lives. They are proud of being obnoxious.
Looks like Vodka Sam has aged a bit.
You'd look like a doofus if you're older than 22I would love to go to a CyHawk game in Iowa City. And would be talking sh*t the entire time. F*ck Iowa!
They actually call the Kinnick exits “vomitories!”When you walk in, you will say to yourself, this is kind of a dumpy place.
