Surprised it took them this long to figure out it was a CyRide. Glad the family finally has opportunity for closure.

You've got to believe that the defense will be that he had no idea he even hit her. A vehicle that large. Totally plausible that the driver didn't realize something had happened.

If this happened shortly after 7 a.m. at such a major intersection it's really surprising that there were no witnesses, either outside or on the bus. Very sad. Glad they got the guy.

Testifying
Does anyone know, are there cameras mounted on CyRide?

That's got to be one nervous, white knuckle job sometimes.

This is horrible no matter if it was an accident or if he noticed and didn't do anything.

I hope it was just a horrible accident and he didn't know.

I feel bad for the bus driver also. My daughter said it was raining hard that morning and difficult to see. This whole situation sucks. No winners anywhere in this.

Guessing they were trying to find witnesses and found 'hey, a cyride bus should have gone through an intersection about that time, lets ask the driver'

But yeah, you'd think it'd take less time to figure that out.

Man, I don't know about that. I think you would still know that you had hit something substantial if you hit something as large as a person.
