Are the 2017 Wisconsin Badgers just the 2015 Iowa Hawkeyes?

I think Wisconsin is a better team than the '15 TOE. But, going the entire season without facing a single ranked team in P5 conference is ridiculous. They don't make the schedule, all they can do is play it.... But, the rankings should take that into account.

I really don't care what happens in the Big10...EXCEPT that no matter what happens I do NOT want Pedophile State to be successful on any level.

EVER.

I really hope blowing that game yesterday caused mass suicides among Pedophile State fans. At least the ones that didn't have long, painful, strokes.

Not that Alabama isn't a top team, but show me their quality win now that we know what FSU is.

A top ten team that played a big TV game against the tough guys and lost their QB for the season.

I can't figure out how the Big 10 scheduling actually works. OSU is probably the best team for the last decade in the Big 10 and somehow Iowa played them in 2010 and this year.

14 teams 2 divisions. Each team has 6 permanent opponents from the division (5 from 2011 to 2013). Now factor in the non-cons. The B1G had 4 non-cons up until 2016, when they reduced to three. As you can see, we have already scheduled anywhere from 9-10 games in a season without sniffing the B1G East..... So here are the amount of B1G East opponents that a B1G West team (Hoks) have had to play every year since the 2010 conference re-alignment:

2011: 3
2012: 3
2013: 3 (Played OSU)
2014: 2
2015: 2
2016: 3
2017: 3 (Plays OSU)

It 's easy now to see how Iowa can get away with playing nobody. In 2015, the year they went undefeated until the Rose Bowl and got completely exposed, they played Maryland and Indiana from the East, which were the exact same teams they played the year before. I don't get how the rotation works for cross-divisional play, but it seems like one or two opponents are the same for a few years, and then you get one random opponent. For example, Iowa plays Penn State from 2016-2019, leaving room for only 2 other random opponents from the East the next few years.

I hope you are joking, and even still, wow. The fans aren't the ones who committed the crimes. I understand having disgust towards the people that actually did the deed, but to hope that fans of a college football team committed suicides or had strokes? Might be time to re-evaluate yourself and your priorities dude.

Usually Wisky does play somebody in the preseason but with Utah St. and BYU being so bad this year, the part of the schedule they do control is hurting them. Wonder how much Anderson had to do with getting them on the Badger schedule?

They are a slightly better team playing an even worse schedule. Seems like any given year, someone in the B1G West is going to get an absolute red carpet to the Conference Championship.

I blame the fact you to have to schedule non conf football games like 10 years in advance. to be fair, Wisconsin scheduled alabama and LSU in recent years, and is going to play notre dame twice in the future.

but if the unbalance means you don't have to play OSU/PSU/MSU and then iowa/nebraska/michigan are lousy, you need to hope you get the right non conf team scheduled!

Crazy as this will sound, I will actually be rooting for the Hawkeyes to beat OSU and Wisconsin. I really hate the inequality of the polls.

I hear you, but no. Just can't root for Iowa unless it would directly put ISU in the CFP.

I really know where you're coming from and pretty much never would root for Iowa except against Penn St., but we're doing so well I don't even care what they do.
