How can you be in the power 5 and get away without playing a ranked team until your conference championship game?

The Big 10 conference championship game could be a repeat of 2014.

YES. They will eventually have to play somebody good. We all know how well that worked out for TTOE
And just like 2015 Iowa, they'll be exposed as a fraud and nothing more than an 8-4 team in any other conference.
Crazy as this will sound, I will actually be rooting for the Hawkeyes to beat OSU and Wisconsin. I really hate the inequality of the polls.
There will be a team in the B1G West every single year that is going to benefit from playing in a garbage division and having weak East division crossover games. In 2015 it was Iowa, last year it was Minnesota, and this year its Wisconsin.

This is the super conferences (12 or more teams) dirty little secret...playing the unbalanced schedule gives their conferences a chance to get 2 in the playoffs. You can get 2 teams that are 12-0 in the conference title game and then sneak the 12-1 team in if the other conferences have a 2 loss champion. Pretty easy to manipulate the schedules to work this in...
