Iowa Pre-Flight was a school for literally 3 years and cracked the top 100.

Being a Navy school based out of the University of Iowa, the Seahawks was a pretty smart and badass name. Props for that.

Pretty impressive for Iowa to be in the top 25 all time poll considering how bad the 60s and 70s were. Shows how good Iowa has had it for the past 36 years.

One top 25 finish in the last 6 years. I do agree Nebraska is light years ahead of Iowa though

Well, historically Nebraska is light years ahead. Nobody would disagree with that. I do feel that Nebraska will more than likely drop quite a bit if they released this same poll in another 20 years. Hopefully Iowa can remain the same or improve on their historical ranking.

I shouldn't be surprised since this came from the AP, but I was a little disappointed that they pretty much only included I-A and I-AA teams.. If you were making a list which included all NCAA teams I think you'd want to have Saint John's (4 national titles, 32 conference titles), Mount Union (12 national titles, 27 conference titles) and Wittenberg (five national titles and 17 conference titles) on the list

The truly ridiculous part is the absence of the school that had the winningest coach of all-time, Grambling with Coach Eddie Robinson. That feat alone should put them in the top 25.
