Not a big follower of Wiki. But given so, if we have a record of 1160-1190, how's that rank us a basketball school nationally? I'm assuming batting under .500 is not good.

I saw last night on ESPN that Kentucky's basketball program was one win shy of 2000 career wins. Anyone know how many wins we have overall at Iowa State?

Looks like they will get #2000, they are up 68 to 27 on Drexel with 12 minutes to go in the game.

Another interesting fact they showed before the game tonight. Before this year, Eddie Sutton had the third best start in Kentucky history at 5-0. Adolph Rupp was first at 9-0. I forget the second place guy. Calipari is now in the lead at 11-0 and counting.

Wikipedia, Wrongopedia. Does no one believe in going to the direct source anymore? ISU Athletics record archives at http://www.cyclones.com//pdf5/646317.pdf

Page 8 shows overall coaching records, cumulative 1162 W and 1197 L going into this season. I know, minor difference from what was posted earlier, and yes, cyclones.com does a great job of hiding the info.

I think a better metric would be our record since the inception of the 64 team field of the NCAA Tournament (1980s)..

This would be like counting Harvard as an amazing football school because back in the 1800s and early 1900s they had great records.
