Anyone ever put their finger in belly button and smell it?

Most Iowa fans I see are excited for another January bowl game
Lots of cranky people replying to Chad Leistekow (sp?) on one of his tweets saying that.

I was surprised myself; you'd think most would be focused on the bowl game, but some expressing a great deal of concern over a worthless poll.

And they get to play a marginal team like Florida. Good for them.

The hype after they win will be standard.

The excuses after they lose will be standard as well.

I'll personally remember this Outback Bowl like most others....which means I won't.

I think Iowa fans are the only ones who I've ever seen put extra emphasis on playing a bowl in January. Pretty much the rest of the country subscribes to a Playoff>New Year 6> Everything else look at bowls. It feels like bragging about that is like being proud of constantly being an 8 or 9 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Gorm

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

Most Hawk fans here at work hate January bowl games. It always messes with their vacation schedule.

The tweet, for those wondering:

I didn't realize coaches voted based on the results of Week 2 games, Chad.

Also, 30 of the 57 other coaches did not vote Iowa in their Top 25. You'd think by his tweet that it was Campbell's vote that had kept them out, except they came in at 22. Be happy with that and move on.
