Honestly, with the state of affairs going on in the PAC-12. The fact that the Big 10 isn't targeting say Standford and USC is pretty telling.

Why would you leave a conference you completely own for a conference where you'll just be a piece of the pie?

Texas and OU are the kings of the Big 12. Move to the Big 10 and you're sharing that crown with Ohio State and Michigan at the top then Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin a close second.

What a bunch of fan fiction bull ****.

The most realistic idea in there is the idea that BTN can't grow revenue with more **** match ups, but you don't get those by adding even more teams to a lackluster slate.

Even if you get past the idea that making the jump requires OU and UT to give up third tier rights they get 100% revenue from today, what value is there going to be for BTN to pony up to make up the difference? Okla/Rutgers and Texas/Indiana football match ups are not worth more, and better games will still not get broadcast on BTN, just as now.

Texas and OU playing 50% of their games in the upper Midwest in October/November? Yeah, probably not. Also, Big 10 Conference Champ game will never pull south or west of Chicago/Indy.

The Texas (mostly) and OU fans gripe about trips to low class Ames/ Manhattan/ Lawerence/etc. They'd just be trading that in for Champaign, West Lafayette, Bloomington, Iowa City. Big upgrade!

Has this thread reached the point where law enforcement needs to be involved?
Nope, but it's time to JLH this mother.

I think everyone in the Big 12 needs to be prepared to read countless articles over the next few years just like this one. Everyone out there is going to try to weaken our status as a conference, to improve their status as a conference for the next round of realignment. The more questions, rumors, uncertainty they can throw out there about the Big 12, the more secure the B1G, SEC, ACC will feel. PAC is in it's own world with it's own set of problems.

This wont happen for the simple fact that Texas would never agree to play a game north of the Oklahoma border in November.

I really don't see Texas wanting any part of the Big 10. Maybe OU does, but they're both insane if they think they'll hold the same power.

I think this would send us, KU, OK State, and Tech into the Pac. Which would suck.

The Pacific Coast conference may SUCK but, if there is NO big 12 conference left where else are you going to go??

There is NO where else ......With one big conference and if we and a whole lot of other schools arent in said conference it will be the destruction of both college football and the NCAA.......
