I love the movie Twister. It’s just good B movie fun and obviously should be taken with a heaping pile of salt. But there is one line in that movie that makes me laugh so hard every time. They’re all together after narrowly missing one of the twisters and the female chaser (not Hunt but the one with glasses) gets all serious and just looking at the tornado goes ‘hey it’s turning southeast’. Like in two seconds she knows its trajectory.

Mine is when someone is in some sort of danger and they wait until the bad guy, monster, or whatever is right in front of them to pump a round into their weapon for 'dramatic' affect.

Another prop set thing. I've noticed that almost every door (including the primary front door of the house/apartment) never seem to have a threshold. You can see light coming through. This is in a LOT of shows. Those houses would be cold as **** in winter and every mouse or critter in the neighborhood would be living with those people.

And another 'door' thing. People walk into a house or apartment and it could be a huge blizzard outside and they don't bother to close the door. But it happens a lot. "Hey come on in. Just leave the door open. The heat/AC is on but it's not in the script. so don't bother closing the front door."

Here are my movie pet peeves…they were maybe cool the first time but have been done to death.

Bad guy is dominating a fight and throws good guy across the room instead of continuing to punch him. Good guy gets time to recover and gets back in the fight.

Driver is talking to passenger instead of watching the road. Something is in the road and they are forced to swerve off road and crash.

So many movies and TV shows violate these!

THIS! One of the reasons why the scene in Raiders when Indy is going to fight the swordsman...and Indy just says "F it" and pulls out his gun is so awesome! I LOVE that scene!

Medical shows/movies where someone is dying and the doctors just “try harder” or don’t give up and they magically revive a person. Also that person is revived always totally fine with zero long term issues or is right back to their old self.

Also when surgeries are shown and something is going bad and someone just suggests a radical idea and people go with it, this would immediately cause someone to be sued into oblivion without approval and would start people down the path to losing their license. Similar to how “I saved a life” gets people out of trouble, it 100% does not and you’re still going to jail/getting fired

Hate the trope where the villain tells the hero the entire plan before killing him, which inevitably doesn’t happen. It’s been parodied a lot, I know.

Also hate that hero’s are crack shots who seem to have unlimited ammo. Villains can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

The prop thing that kills me - empty coffee cups. Like, you can’t put water in them so the actors handles it correctly?

Little movie magic note on that: script called for Indy to fight him, but Ford hurt his back or something, and they switched it to the gun and it’s one of the most memorable moments in cinema.
