We took the rv out to Morgantown for cpr’s last game. Had a bunch of us all go. We were shocked at how nice and hospitable everyone was. We were out there for 4 days over thanksgiving. No matter where we went, people would stop us, shake our hand and thank us for coming to Morgantown. One time during the game I went up to the restroom and was stopped 5 times before I got there.. I finally asked if everyone was getting paid for each time it was said.... they laughed and said no but they wanted to change their reputation and make people from the big 12 feel welcome. They definitely did that for us. It was a great visit.
That was one wet game. Glad I had dry shoes and shirt in the car waiting me after the game being that I started driving back right after the game.
I'm just disappointed that my "Unprofessional Fan" shirt (autographed by JP, no less) has less meaning now.
Sure wish the weather would cooperate so we all could enjoy this. But it looks like it will be chilly and rainy.
From my experience with your fanbase, I can't see how his drinking would have been an issue for anyone. I couldn't go 10 feet without a jar of shine being shoved in my face.
It's an issue when you lose games. Bob Huggins drinks like a fish but he walks on water because he's won a bunch over the last 12 years. They even hated on Dana because he 'didn't wear school colors' and stuck with black polos but won't touch Huggs wearing his black/tan windbreaker lol.
Fair point. Huggs is a stone cold legend though. Guy has a lifetime pass to do whatever the **** he wants.
As I recall, there is very little love lost between WVU and another former conference mate as well...Pitt.
That is such a great glimpse into the real Bob Huggins. There is so much more to him than most people think. For instance, he barks at his players, but I've seen him let players bark back at him when he does something wrong. Of course, it had to be players like Jevon Carter who had earned the right to do so.
