Im going to a concert this summer at Alpine Valley. Just looking for info abt parking, the venue etc. Thought I saw something abt parking was free, or you could purchase premium parking. Any info would be great. Thanks

Parking should be free. Its been awhile since Ive been there, but I dont recall having to pay for parking. Its a dirt lot if I recall. Great place for a concert and depending on the show you will see some freaks of nature and hippies.

Saw DMB there a few years ago. Great place for a concert as long as the weather is good. It does take FOREVER to get out of there unless they changed some things. If I remember there is basically one driving exit to get in and out of the parking lot.

The ride out can be pretty fun. Dangerous, sometimes annoying, but fun. One of the great venues in America.

Ya parking is built into the ticket price.
Hopefully you have reserved seats, lawn is for noobs.

If you want to get out easier park in the secondary lot.

Alpine Valley Resort, Elkhorn, WI 53121 - Google Maps

Make sure you know where you are going and have a good map. It is easy to get lost if you are staying in some small neighboring town.

By far one of the best venues along with RR and The Gorge.

Have fun.

My favorite venue that I have been to (beats Red Rocks barely and heading to The Gorge for DMB this fall).
Parking is built in to the ticket. Allow yourself plenty of time to arrive and leave. More than likely you'll park in the Yellow Lot. The best way out is to try to drive towards the Alpine Valley Lodge. That is the direction of VIP parking.
OR, you can stay and tailgate.
If you want out quick, park so you are facing out, and near an exit path.
Enjoy the venue! I am catching Phish there in June, can't wait!

I will be there for Phish too. Let me know if you come across an extra .

Going to DMB again as well. Think this is our 20th trip or something crazy to Alpine :biglaugh: We can't get enough of it.

You will love the gorge it is badass. Are you camping?

I'll be at Buffett!!! We go every year to either Alpine Valley or Chicago. Parrotheads are the best tailgating crowd anywhere!!

Oh yeah, plus there are usually tons of MILFS/cougars whatever you want to call them there. I have gone to Tinley Park before as well but will be at Alpine Valley this year for the 1st time.

I am not a fan of Alpine Valley. Way too big and not enough access to the site as it is in rural Wisconsin. If the place fills up, it holds ~50K and I think there is one entrance/exit into it.

Have fun! :jimlad:

I've been to Alpine Valley twice - both for DMB shows. They were truly a blast and I can't wait to get back again. I've been told the Buffett shows their are second to none as well.

I'll let you in on a little known secret - camp at snug harbor campground if you can (it fills up very fast for about every show). It's not necessarily the nicest campground around and you don't have much privacy, but the people there are awesome and they hire busses to take their campers to and from the shows for $30 a piece - that's well worth it considering u can booze all you want and not have to worry about driving or parking. Traffic usually isn't as bad either b/c you're in the bus lots.

Have a great time and hope for good weather. A tornado went through the venue before the show one year we were there and it was postponed for awhile, but once we got into the show it was unforgettable and everyone was sliding in the mud.

It was a little difficult trying to walk up that massive hill after the show when there was nothing but slop.
