You never clarified in your post that it had to be east of I-35 AND have an Iowa offer in hand. And quite frankly, there isn't much for division 1 talent east of I-35.

Lazard is an awesome get! He looks to me like the kind of WR who would generally wind up at USC--and doing well there. If he wants to commit now, it's because he wants to be a Cyclone--as told by his already working on Piersbacher!

See other post. To be fair Lanning never received an offer from Iowa. So no, Iowa didn't want him.

This doesn't mean Iowa didn't want him...Just because you don't offer a player doesn't mean you don't want him. Iowa State and Iowa don't offer the best recruit in the nation but that doesn't mean they wouldn't want them on the team.

That's what their fans say, but the Iowa staff gets all butthurt when they offer a kid (like Bevins) and they stay committed to ISU.

You would be surprised. This isn't an Iowa recruiting thread, so I'm not going to get into a bunch. But I would say early playing time at a BCS school who has been a top 25 program over the past decade, along with a program that sends kids to the NFL at a higher rate than 90% of college programs would be a pretty good sales pitch.

You guys are so cute. You can rest easier knowing that you play in the Big 10 where it couldn't possibly be easier to get to 8 wins, but yet you haven't the last two years.

Where did I say Ross P was a lock to commit to Iowa? I didn't....I realize there is a greater chance he goes elsewhere, than goes to Iowa. Simply said he wasn't going to go to Iowa State. I feel fairly confident about that. As far as Lazard and Campos goes, those are two great commits for Iowa State. Momentum is clearly snowballing in the program right now, and those two players could turn out to be tremendous players for you. However, I think most Iowa State fans are losing sight of the fact that these kids grew up ISU fans in central Iowa. I realize a few years ago they would have gone out of state, and them choosing ISU clearly shows you are improving. But why don't we hold off on the in-state domination talk, and wait until they get a commit from somewhere east of I-35 before we claim them in-state kings.

How abou you hold off coming to our board next time it crosses your mind and/or we grab one of your recruits

A lot of teams waited to offer Lazard and will regret it. I've seen many of the top WRs in the class, he's best I've seen so far in 2014

What I can't get is how is Iowa losing recruits to a school that reportedly doesn't exist? I thought that there was only one school in the state?
