You would be surprised. This isn't an Iowa recruiting thread, so I'm not going to get into a bunch. But I would say early playing time at a BCS school who has been a top 25 program over the past decade, along with a program that sends kids to the NFL at a higher rate than 90% of college programs would be a pretty good sales pitch.
So did Joel Lanning, and yet where is he committed to???Actually, he has said in multiple recruiting interviews that he grew up an Iowa fan. So there's that.....
Harrison Barnes was a ISU BB fan growing up to. How did that work out? Piersbacher will play for ND, but not for the Hawks. Better work on putting Scherff in the pros. He has a long ways to go, from what I saw.Actually, he has said in multiple recruiting interviews that he grew up an Iowa fan. So there's that.....
To be fair Lanning is to soft, Iowa didn't want him.So did Joel Lanning, and yet where is he committed to???

Hasn't just about every BCS program been in the top 25 in the last decade? Yeah ISU was in 2000 so 12 years, so that's not so elite, really. All the other recruiters have to do is plant the "Kirk Ferentz, isn't he kind of on the hot seat?" seed. You would be surprised. We are. The answer is no one. Almost all of your current commits are taking visits, MR. I Follow Recruiting. That tells you how many people want to play for Iowa.

Where did I say Ross P was a lock to commit to Iowa? I didn't....I realize there is a greater chance he goes elsewhere, than goes to Iowa. Simply said he wasn't going to go to Iowa State. I feel fairly confident about that. As far as Lazard and Campos goes, those are two great commits for Iowa State. Momentum is clearly snowballing in the program right now, and those two players could turn out to be tremendous players for you. However, I think most Iowa State fans are losing sight of the fact that these kids grew up ISU fans in central Iowa. I realize a few years ago they would have gone out of state, and them choosing ISU clearly shows you are improving. But why don't we hold off on the in-state domination talk, and wait until they get a commit from somewhere east of I-35 before we claim them in-state kings.
This is also false. There are maybe 2 or 3 commits taking other visits right now, and the highest rated of them all has recently solidified his commitment to Iowa and cancelled his other visits. Good try, though.

Didn't have an Iowa offer.
