First off, congrats on moving the goal posts. I even said contending is finishing in the top 3 for the round robin like schedule for big 12. You also clearly don't understand causality. I'll say it AGAIN for you, you DO NOT have to have 10+ wins to be contending for the Big12 CCG. Has it so happened that the top 2 have had that many wins? Yea. But thats with your moved goals post. Using what I said and basing off 3rd place:I get that ISU fans have no idea historically what a team looks like that is contending for a RSCC. For the Big12 in a non pandemic year (yes you lost 2 non conference games) here are the # of wins for the top 2 teams:
'19: 12 and 11
'18: 12 & 10
'17: 12 & 11
'16: 11 & 10
'15: 11 & 11
'14: 12 & 11
I will say it again, if you are winning 8 games a year in a non pandemic year, you will not be contending for a Championship game.
'20: 8
'19: 8
'18: 8
'17: 10
'16: 10
'15: 10
'14: 9
So literally over 50% of the time (in that time frame) third place was less than 10 wins. But again, overall win count doesn't affect in conference results.
