I get that ISU fans have no idea historically what a team looks like that is contending for a RSCC. For the Big12 in a non pandemic year (yes you lost 2 non conference games) here are the # of wins for the top 2 teams:

'19: 12 and 11
'18: 12 & 10
'17: 12 & 11
'16: 11 & 10
'15: 11 & 11
'14: 12 & 11

I will say it again, if you are winning 8 games a year in a non pandemic year, you will not be contending for a Championship game.
First off, congrats on moving the goal posts. I even said contending is finishing in the top 3 for the round robin like schedule for big 12. You also clearly don't understand causality. I'll say it AGAIN for you, you DO NOT have to have 10+ wins to be contending for the Big12 CCG. Has it so happened that the top 2 have had that many wins? Yea. But thats with your moved goals post. Using what I said and basing off 3rd place:
'20: 8
'19: 8
'18: 8
'17: 10
'16: 10
'15: 10
'14: 9

So literally over 50% of the time (in that time frame) third place was less than 10 wins. But again, overall win count doesn't affect in conference results.

Maybe, but your expectation of competing for conference titles every year that Campbell is at ISU are unrealistic.

Thanks for the info. By the way Campbell had beat 2 top four teams by his second year. Ferentz didn't accomplish that until 2016. That's 18 years.

LOL man, you can't count '20 when all teams played 2 less games, and sometimes even 3 less games.

So an 8-5 K-State team in 2019 that finished 3 full Big12 games behind 2nd place is "in contention" now? LOL man. It was Baylor and OU last year, nobody else was "in contention".

Basically there was 1 time since the Playoff era started that an actual 8-5 record was even sniffing contention. That said more about how piss poor the Big12 was that year than anything else.

Do you think being like a Wisconsin level team under Campbell is unrealistic?

ISU will never have a run like Wisconsin. Not counting a pandemic year, Wisconsin won 10 or more games 8 times over the last 11 full seasons. Wisconsin has 6 NY6 bowl game appearances in the last 11 full seasons.

that really means nothing at this point. So you think he should be retained because he's accomplished so much? I'd be all for it.
Isn't that how TOE is trying to sell recruits on the Squwak Football program? "Look what we "accomplished" in 2019, 2015, 2002, 1998, 1980, 1964" - you know... Our last 20 seasons!

Noted. Twins says CMC will make 6 NY6 games over the next 11 years and have 8 10+ win seasons.
Who said anything about 10+ win seasons? Wisconsin went to the Rose Bowl in 2012 and went 8-6 that year

Since 2000 Wisconsin has 3 NY6 bowl wins. If Campbell is around another 20 years I sure expect him to win more than 2 NY6 bowl games in that time frame

Iowa State didn't miss a single conference game in 2020, so yea, I can count it
