Actually, thinking about this some more, we're going to have some combination of...

Georgia/Alabama versus this pecking order:

Notre Dame
Florida
Kansas State
Oregon

Who knew we might, actually, have a repeat of the World's Biggest Outdoor Cocktail Party for a national championship, assuming the Dawgs win the SEC championship game, Florida takes care of FSU, and USC can pull one out against the Irish. Crazy world.

Looks like we kind of have a de facto tournament at this point.

1 Notre Dame

2 Alabama
3 Georgia

Assuming Alabama can take care of Auburn (haha, that'll be fun), Georgia can handle GT (probably), and ND can take down U$C (which shouldn't be too hard, particularly with Barkley down).

So it'll be at least one of those SEC two. If Notre Dame were to lose?

All hell breaks loose. Probably another SEC rematch between UGA/Alabama and UF/LSU or something like that. Ugh.

I would LOL at any scenario in which the Gatas play in the NCG. Luckiest damned team all year, and it would be a complete affront to the BCS if they somehow snuck in.

As much as I hate to say it, I want Auburn to beat Alabama, Alabama to beat Georgia in SEC Championship, and Notre Dame to lose to USC so its still an Oregon vs. K-State national title

I guess in all of it for me, this is what I love about College football. As much as I hate ND, and the SEC, I don't really give a **** because ISU is bowling again. Worst case scenario, I'll turn the TV off after our bowl game and not care like I did last year.

Won't happen. A team with a 28-point loss to a **** team like Baylor does not play in the title game. Period.

I'm biased because my dad's an Alabama grad, but I would definitely look forward to a Bama-ND title game. Those two have teams played a couple of historic Sugar Bowls.

Georgia now controls their own destiny to get into nc. That's insane. It's very possible the 3 and 4 team this year will be better teams than the 1 and 2 teams.

The SEC illustrating the benefit of being able to sit back and not destroy each other by playing extra conference games, and using that slot to instead play nobodies in november.

So glad we're moving away from this system. I still don't care who is 3rd or 4th at the end of the season. What I want to see in late Dec/early Jan is the 4 (maybe 6 ) best teams in the nation going battle royale for #1.

i want to be ticked at the system for bringing the SEC back in and handing it to ND but KSU and Oregon pee'd it down there own legs.
